I couldn’t pass the Slice Harvester zine up at $3.00 a pop while shopping at Whisk last night. This is an essential read for any slice aficionado. The inaugural issue features reviews of every shop above 110th st.
I wish this guy luck in his venture to review every slice joint in NYC.

Killer (ramp) pizza/worst photo award.

I think Motorino is slowly turning into my favorite pizza shop.
The table next to me left a pile of crust. I instantly compared that to throwing away artisan baked bread because their dough is so damn good. The thought of grabbing them crossed my mind for a split second after they left, but I was [...]

I found my first pizza truck!
I went for a walk after school yesterday and conveniently found the Vinny Vincenz pizza truck parked in my path. Two pizza ovens in the back, a wise-ass pizza slinger, $2.50 sicilian slices, great crust, tangy sauce and steps from the Union Square Greenmarket and 14th St L.

Minty Moonpies.

Tonight was a night filled with lots of reading regarding purchasing & culinary conversions. Slightly Tired from a long day I decided it would be best to go out to the local coffee shop to do my evenings readings.
This good idea was rewarded with…
A vegan moonpie (two cookies with mint filling) & an americano. Tasty [...]

Brown butter, how come you taste so good?

I’m now convinced that I need a freezer full of ravioli’s from Dave’s Fresh Pasta. I haven’t had Dave’s for close to a year, I was in Somerville yesterday and made it a point to stop in. I’m still trying to find a fresh pasta guy in my new neighborhood in Brooklyn to satisfy the [...]

What can I say, I’ve never been to Philly. I’ve never actually had the opportunity to visit before this weekend. I was lucky enough to pack a ton of touristy sights (Ben Franklin’s privy pit) and a lot of food in over the course of a weekend. Before my arrival in the city of [...]

Gimme! Caffeine

I am more of a tea drinker and usually drink more tea than anyone I know. Lately, I’ve been craving fancy coffee beverages and needed a fix. I want to thank Gimme! Coffee in advance for keeping me up all night tonight. Your mocha latte is ridiculously delicious and I’m already [...]

The Hungry Ghost

It’s getting hot in here.
What is there to say about the Pioneer Valley? The valley has some of the most fertile soil in the country, responsible for producing remarkably delicious potatoes and asparagus. Beautiful in the fall, serene in the winter, the valley is also home to Bill Cosby, Thurston Moore & [...]

A bike ride, a water taxi and pupusa’s

All roads lead to Red Hook.
So it started off as any other Sunday morning would. The weather was great, the air was starting to crisp with fall now upon us. This is prime bike riding weather, as it’s still warm enough. Perfect for shorts and a long sleeve shirt. I have [...]
